Startup SAFARI CGN x RHIVE
This year we’re teaming up with RHIVE to provide you with the vastest networking opportunities possible!
Two events – one common goal
We feel passionately about startups. We want to create meaningful connections. And we love Cologne. All this connects the Startup SAFARI Cologne with RHIVE. So it’s the obvious choice to join forces and work on making Cologne’s Startup Ecosystem even more present and accessible for you.
We create synergies to provide you with special experiences
In order for you to get the most out of these three days, you should take note of the following options for Thursday and Friday: You can visit various startups in Cologne during the Startup SAFARI and get a lot of input in interactive sessions which will last about 60 to 90 minutes. Talk to founders or experts in the field of entrepreneurship or one of our other six Topic Tracks. As a student you also have the opportunity to apply to RHIVE and take part in an Ideathon where you will be working together with a startup on a specific question for two days.
Find your future employer on Saturday
For those who are currently looking for a job, we have a job fair where you might get to meet your future employer. This jointly organized fair takes place at the University of Cologne and is hosted by RHIVE. If you apply to SAFARI as a Jobseeker, you will not only receive a free ticket for the Startup SAFARI, but you can also participate in our joint job fair on Saturday! Startups that you have already met in sessions during the week can now be specifically contacted here about their vacancies. And who knows, maybe you’ll get your dream job there.
Want to know more about RHIVE?
RHIVE is a start-up festival for students in the Rhineland which will take place for the first time during October 24th- 26th at the University of Cologne. The event connects ambitious students from all disciplines and universities with startups from the Rhineland and motivates young founders to develop and implement ideas.
On Thursday and Friday Ideathons – hackathons of a different kind – will be taking place. On Saturday, the teams will pitch their ideas to an experienced jury on the main stage, who will then select the winning team. In addition to that there will be a conference at which representatives of the Rhineland startup scene will give riveting talks on Saturday.
The organizers of RHIVE
Rhive is organized by the Entrepreneurs Club Cologne e.V. (ECC), a student initiative that aims to help students set up their own business and connect them with the startup scene. This team consists of about 40 motivated students who work voluntarily on various projects during their studies. After organizing founder talks and workshops that have been taking place for several years, they are now in the process of organizing a conference.
