Cynteract is a start-up which aims to make rehabilitation fun and more efficient than other current rehabilitation treatments. We were inspired with the idea when one of our friends suffered a stroke when he was only 15 years old. During his rehabilitation, he struggled with the boring and time intensive exercises that are part of many current rehabilitation procedures.
We developed a smart glove using sensors and motors, which patients can use as a gaming controller to play games while doing rehabilitation exercises. With our user interface, therapists can follow the progress of the patient in parallel via the web.
The product offers a decentralized rehabilitation, which is fun and allows the therapist remote monitoring. The hardware is defined by highest precision, affordability and portability.
In the future it will be possible to combine the application with virtual reality. So that you can see your own hands virtually and feel virtual objects instead of using controllers with buttons.
